It has been a few months since we have made any official announcements on the website, and I apologize for not keeping the masses up to date. We had all hoped that we would have the new website launched by Halloween, but an array of issues kept that concept from coming to fruition. For the time being, we will continue using this site, and our Vice President, Bobby, will be creating a new official Bad Stain website that will be launched in 2025.
Several things have been happening with the label over the past few months. We are happy to announce that the goth metal band Death Ode has joined the Bad Stain Family, and released their debut full length album, "Roses Ruins" in digital format. We are currently working on getting ready to press the CD, so look for the physical album to be in stores in late 2025.
Former Bad Stain President and current Head of Manufacturing, Chase Stain, has not released any new music in a couple years and has been highly focused on his artwork, especially his popular "Skullduggery" series. The end of the year is approaching, and Chase still has 11 pieces still available from his 2024 Skullduggery Series, and the 2025 series will debut on January 1st, 2025. So anyone interested in purchasing any work from his 2024 series should get in touch, because the works will be sold out in the very near future.
While on the subject of limited edition items selling out, Bad Stain Noize Weapons has sold the last BSNW Gibson ES-335 Memphis Banshee Electric Guitar, so that item is no longer available. There are a few instruments from Bad Stain Noize Weapons that will be retired at the end of the year as well. The Maricopa Series Anthem Electric Guitar, as well as the Yavapai Series Prescott Electric Bass Guitar will both no longer be manufactured, and the Siren Single Coil Pickups that come installed in the Anthem guitar will also be retired as well. Both instruments were originally released in 2019, and 2023 will be the last year to be able to get them. So buy them before the end of the year if you want one.
Bad Stain Noize Weapons will be releasing a few new instruments in the next few weeks just in time for the holidays, so stay tuned for that!
Thanks to everyone out there supporting the local music scene, and we will continue to let everyone know about upcoming events and releases much better, and as soon as the new website is available, we will make an official announcement.

I am happy to announce that we have signed our first new artist to Bad Stain Records since the change in leadership! We are pleased welcome Phoenix Peck to the Bad Stain family, and she will be dropping her new single, “Callouses” on July 5th! Check out her band page here and find her on Spotify to hear more of her music! You can also check out her Instagram @Phoenix_Peck21
We have some other things in the works as well, including staff changes that we will announcing in the next few weeks. Bad Stain Noize Weapons will be releasing new gear in the near future, so expect that news in early July. We will also be designing a new website that will be far more superior than the site that we currently have. It's taking some time, but things are coming together.
Peace Out….

Greetings! My name is Tabby Kills and I am very excited to be the new President of Bad Stain Records. I want to apologize for not updating the website sooner, but I have been busy getting things in order and figuring everything out to help the label run as smooth as possible.
For starters, I have appointed Robert Grossman as the new Vice President. Robert is taking over my old position, and will be in charge of helping me with various duties. In addition, Robert is an audio engineer, which will really help save money and make recording more convenient. My father is now the Head of Manufacturing and Distribution, and is also available as a consultant when needed. I will be making additional changes to the staff in the near future, so stay tuned for updates!
I just did my first interview as the new President of Bad Stain Records, and you can read the interview in the new June issue of Arizona Independent Music Scene Magazine. My pops, Chase Stain, was a special guest columnist in the issue as well, and he wrote a column listing his choice of the top 25 bass players of all time. If you are unable to find a physical copy of the new issue of AIMS Magazine, you can read the interview here:

For everyone out there waiting on the new Johnny Laundromat and The Drycleaners album, the wait is finally over! The album was supposed to be out in August of last year, but internal conflict arose within the band. Hunter Hamper was terminated and replaced with two new members, Wyatt Wash and Jen Till-Cycle. After his termination, Hunter Hamper requested that he be removed from any music for the upcoming album. Since the album was complete, the band was forced to re-enter the studio and delete all of Hunter Hampers parts in every song. The band was ultimately forced to delay the release of their new album and head back into the studio and re-record the tracks.
Wyatt Wash recorded his own guitar tracks on all of the songs, fully replacing Hunter Hampers guitars. Afterwards, Jen Till-Cycle recorded piano, keyboards, and synth, as well as a couple different bass lines. After being delayed a year, the new 10 inch album, “Torn and Tattered” is finally available now! The first 500 copies are available on red, white and blue swirled vinyl, and you can purchase a copy at any Zia Records location or at your favorite mom and pop record shop! You can also buy it in a few days online at the Bad Stain Records Facebook Shop. We will be posting it up for sale this weekend.
I also wanted to let everybody know that the full length album, “The First Quarter”, from my dad (Chase Stain) is currently out of print. The album contains all of the tracks from Chase Stain’s “January”, “February”, and “March” EP’s, along with two exclusive bonus tracks. It was released in late 2010, and over the years has been repressed a few times. The album has now sold 3,500 copies to date, and we are currently deciding on whether to repress the album or not. We will let everyone know if “The First Quarter” becomes available in the future. You can always listen to “The First Quarter” at Spotify, or at your favorite streaming platform. That’s all we got for now, but check back for updates!
Thanks,
Tabby Kills

It’s hard to believe that I have been running Bad Stain Records for almost three decades. It’s also hard for me to believe that I have reached a point in my life that I am becoming less and less familiar with new music and artists. It’s funny because I always assumed that I would stay relevant and be able to easily discover new bands, regardless of my age. Now that I am in my mid-forties, I realize that I am becoming out of touch with new music, and that makes it difficult to make the right decisions working as the president of a record label.
After careful consideration, I have decided to step down as president of Bad Stain Records and have appointed my first born, Tabby Kills, to take my place. I am fully confident in Tabby’s abilities to run Bad Stain, and I believe that they will be a much better President than I have been in recent years.
I want to point out that although I’m stepping down as president, I will not be leaving Bad Stain Records. I will still be available as a consultant when I’m needed, and will also be accepting my new position as Head of Distribution and Manufacturing. Furthermore, I will also be running Bad Stain Noize Weapons, and we will continue making quality instruments at affordable prices, and unique collectable limited edition guitars and bass guitars for musicians and collector’s.
Everyone should expect some changes to take place over the next few weeks as Tabby makes the alterations that they feel will benefit the label. There are certain things that will not be changing. Bad Stain will remain dedicated as a label that supports our recording artists as much as possible, and our contracts will still allow our artists to retain all of their money earned from digital distribution such as downloads and streaming, and Bad Stain will never take any money from live performances, unless agreed upon prior to the performance. Bad Stain artists will also be permitted to retain all money from all merchandise they manufacture without the support of the label. Basically, Tabby plans on supporting independent bands as much as possible. I want to thank all of the bands that I have been fortunate enough to work with over the years while running Bad Stain, and also want to thank all of the other record labels, distributors, record stores, and various other businesses that Bad Stain worked with over the past 29 years.
I want to thank the long list of various employees that helped run the label during my time as president, and I also want to thank all of my friends who helped and or supported the label, as well as my amazing mother, Mama Stain, who was tons of help during her life. Most of all, thanks to all of the fans who supported the label. Make sure to check our official website and our official Facebook and Instagram pages for new updates as Tabby starts to release their announcements!
Cheers, Chase Stain

It has been several months since we have posted anything on our website or any of our social media pages. We have been very busy moving out of the area of Sunnyslope to Glendale, Arizona. We have also been designing and manufacturing new instruments for Bad Stain Noize Weapons. Make sure to visit the Armory to check out the new custom made, limited edition Apache Series Bisbee Guitar and custom made, limited edition Fender FrankenStain Mustang Bass Guitar. We have also created our new line of signature Series guitars and bass guitars. This new series will feature guitars and bass guitars that are designed by select musicians that use Bad Stain Noize Weapons. Our first Signature Series Artist is Lexis Smith, the bassist for Daymes Rocket. Lexis chose to have Bad Stain create a Navajo Series Bass Guitar to his specifications, and the bass is officially on sale for a limited time! We will be posting more updates on our social media pages soon, and everyone can expect some VERY big changes coming in 2024.
