We are super excited to announce that Bad Stain Noize Weapons has released our first guitar amplifier and speaker cabinet! The Kingman Guitar Amplifier powered by Electro-Harmonix is a 100 watt solid state guitar head that features Hot Tubes Technology from Electro-Harmonix, and the Yuma Cabinet is capable of a massive 300 watts!
The Yuma features 4 twelve inch speakers that are 75 watts each at an impedance of 8 ohms. The speakers are wired in series-parallel, and are housed in a sturdy cabinet that has dual 1/4 inch jacks for input and output, as well as four 360 degree swivel wheels with foot locking brakes, making transportation easy. Since the Yuma has a maximum output of 300 watts, it is more than capable of working well with the new Kingman Guitar Amplifier.
The Kingman is a solid state amplifier that was designed to mimic the warm tones of vintage tube amps. Vacuum tubes have become hard to find in recent weeks, and prices have soared thanks to the conflict in the Ukraine. The Kingman uses a single tube 12AX7 pre-amp to help create its vibrant tone, so it's a more affordable choice compared to a tube amp. Bad Stain has also designed the Kingman in a unique way by including the internal components from the Hot Tubes effect pedal that is manufactured by Electro-Harmonix. EHX designed the Hot Tubes pedal to help solid state amplifiers sound like tube amps, and the Hot Tubes pedal is a favorite for many artists, including Sonic Youth and Stevie Ray Vaughn. The Kingman has Hot Tubes technology directly inside of the amp, allowing the user to adjust the tone as desired. The Kingman has two channels, and is a great weapon to have for live shows, as well as the studio. Check out the Kingman and Yuma by visiting The Armory.
In addition to the release of new equipment from Bad Stain Noize Weapons, Bad Stain Records is proud to announce that our new artist TBHFR will be releasing their debut album in the next few weeks! Happy New Year! It has been a rough couple of years for many of us, but we are hoping that 2022 will be a great year. George Jetson was born in 2022, so we think that it's a good sign that the world will soon be full of flying cars and everyone will have robot maids. Soylent Green also took place in 2022.... So maybe we will all be eating humans this year. Or perhaps this year will be unlike any books, movies, sitcoms, or cartoons in the past. I guess only time will tell.
Bad Stain has a lot of plans for 2022. Bad Stain Noize Weapons will be releasing a few new items in the near future, so make sure to check The Armory for updates. We will also be having some super amazing sales that musicians will want to take advantage of, with deals that serious musicians looking for high quality products are going to love!
Bad Stain Records will be doing a lot as well, releasing new music from Daisy Moonshine and The City Boys, Johnny Laundromat and The Drycleaners, Daymes Rocket, and more! Although the thing that we are most excited about is the new Arizona Local Legends Series coming to Bad Stain Records in the summer of 2022.
The Arizona Local Legends series will feature releases from select Arizona based recording artists that had a powerful impact on the Valley's local music scene, but never achieved any mainstream commercial success. Each release will feature a different local artist that has influenced other bands during their career, and inspired a whole new generation of musicians to create and play music. The releases will feature music from each of the bands on a USB flashdrive, along with other goodies such as bio's, song lyrics, videos, photo's, and more!
Bad Stain Records is proud to announce that the Arizona Local Legends Collection first volume will be the Phoenix punk rock band The Generiks. The Generiks formed in Phoenix way back in 1986, and their raw punk sound engaged hardcore fans throughout the Valley. The band performed with dozens of popular touring national acts throughout the years, drawing in hundreds of fans when they performed local shows. The Generiks spent the 90's touring extensively across the U.S., performing at iconic venues like The Whiskey and CBGB's. In 2000, the band called it quits, but got back together in 2004 for a special reunion performance.
Arizona Local Legends Collection Volume #1 will contain MPS files of every Generiks song ever released, as well as twelve previously unreleased studio tracks that the band recorded for their last album which was never released. The flashdrive also includes a live recording of the bands reunion performance, plus a PDF file with a band biography, music videos, JPEG files of band photo's and old concert flyers, and tons more! Check out the AZ Local Legends page for more info!
That's about it for now, but check back as the year progresses, and make sure to like us on Facebook and subscribe to the Bad Stain YouTube channel, and follow us on Instagram....and so on..... Fuck there are too many social media sites today.
